General Information & Constitution

The Pat Newman Memorial Trust is an unincorporated trust constituted under a trust deed dated 19 December 2013, charity registration number 1155183. The trust was established by an initial gift from Tony Johnson and Judith Butt.

Policy

The trust was created as a general charitable trust. The issues on which the Trustees intend to focus are relief of poverty and financial hardship, assisting victims of physical or mental abuse and supporting the disadvantaged. Interested parties who feel that their needs are covered by the grant making policy (if in doubt please apply or contact us for further advice) should read the application form. This is directed to and MUST be completed by all applicants, other than private individuals, and submitted by post or e-mail together with supporting information. Private individuals should contact us by post or e-mail providing relevant information and such applications must be supported by a letter from a social worker, GP, Citizens‿Advice Bureau or similar.

To ensure that the income of the trust stretches as far as possible all operations of the trust, except for investment and audit are carried out by the trustees on a voluntary basis.
