The Pat Newman Memorial Trust was created as a general charitable trust. The issues on which the Trustees intend to focus are the relief of poverty and financial hardship, assisting victims of physical or mental abuse and supporting the disadvantaged.
The Pat Newman Memorial Trust is an unincorporated trust constituted under a trust deed dated 19 December 2013, charity registration number 1155183. The trust was established by an initial gift from Tony Johnson and Judith Butt.

To ensure that the income of the trust stretches as far as possible all operations of the trust, except for investment and audit are carried out by the trustees on a voluntary basis.
